This research will help us here at Blind Feline develop the right ideas towards the already thought out plot, but more importantly realise what stage the typical opening sequence is at.

After I done the rough cut survey the audience said one of our least effective parts was, the transitions so i decided to research more into transitions in films opening sequences to get the best outcome for our own.

Target Audience

Target audience

The target audience for our film will be males and females aged 15-25. I picked this age category because we will give it a aged 15 certificate. The genre of the film is defiantly target more to males as males are more likely to watch thriller films and horror and women are more likely to watch comedy and romance films and even rom-coms. We decided that the demographic of our films opening sequence should be working class to middle class citizens. This is because we made the characters in our films opening sequence all fit in that category. So aiming it at this type of demographic could mean that we will target that kind of citizen and are more likely to get a higher budget because they are more likely to pay more out to see our film.

Travel Destination plan for our trip to London.

As part of Blind Feline’s location analysis, we had to ensure that our footage up in London would be spot on and accurate, in order to do this we developed a plan to ensure that we would beat the crowds who may put the production at risk.
Firstly we had to ensure that the weather on the day would be appropriate and therefore not jeopardise the production with rain or heavy winds that would make the quality of filming be made a substantially more. So we checked on the reliable source- http://www.bbc.co.uk/weather/2643743 to enable that this risk of torrential weather would invade our day of filming up London.

With this very Basic plan that we used that enabled us the standard time getting their on the train, but then additional time finding the destinations we intended to film at being the metropolitan University and Virtue offices. With a 2 hour 50 minute period to film a very vital scene in the production; plenty of time to make adjustments to the filming with various cuts and additional shots being added to make the day worthwhile and beneficial. However this time frame let us get out and eat and still make it to Liverpool Street before the crowds arrived in the rush hour, therefore keeping the journey safer with less risks from occurring in the journey home.

Health and Safety

During our production task, we realised that we must consider the possible hazards we could be implicating to ourselves as well as the surrounding public who may be at risk.

We see in the first initial scene where we are filming in a science lavatory courtesy of Beauchamp’s High school. In this scene Blind Feline Productions (BFP) had to consider whether the chemicals we was using would be a danger to the following students that would be in the lavatory the following lesson, With this in mind we asked a science technician to supervise us putting the certain science equipment out and mixing specific chemicals to create a formula, to prevent us making any possible harm to ourselves and others.
The pivotal scene in our casting was on our travels to London to use an office in a very Historical looking building to add a sense of tradition that we realized when researching the best location for this actual scene. In our travels, we knew that travelling to the capital would cause many possible Hazards with the busy crowds and atmosphere that would be present in addition to the form of travel on the tube in the peak times (so that way we could get the ideal atmosphere we needed to make our footage evident of the London scenery). So with this in mind we all stuck together when travelling and had a map to navigate around near the Liverpool street location. Which came with the fine detailed planning of making sure that all the locations we wanted were in scale with one another. To prevent as much travelling as possible therefore preventing as much risk. The small details such as crossing the congested roads could have been seen as a very dangerous risk to all of us in the group, with this in consideration. Blind Feline realised that we would have to cross the ever increasing congestion in the city by using the various crossings and moving with a large flow of people. Also when filming the footage outside the University, which is in a very congested part of the city. We also had to take into account the consideration the welfare of the surrounding people to make sure that they were aware of our presence with various signs signifying that filming was in progress, therefore making sure that we wasn’t interrupted or was thought to be doing something wrong with the authorities that they may well think could we were putting the general public at risk.

This was an example of a various sign that we used into our production to make people aware of our presence when filming in public stricken areas
