Health and Safety

During our production task, we realised that we must consider the possible hazards we could be implicating to ourselves as well as the surrounding public who may be at risk.

We see in the first initial scene where we are filming in a science lavatory courtesy of Beauchamp’s High school. In this scene Blind Feline Productions (BFP) had to consider whether the chemicals we was using would be a danger to the following students that would be in the lavatory the following lesson, With this in mind we asked a science technician to supervise us putting the certain science equipment out and mixing specific chemicals to create a formula, to prevent us making any possible harm to ourselves and others.
The pivotal scene in our casting was on our travels to London to use an office in a very Historical looking building to add a sense of tradition that we realized when researching the best location for this actual scene. In our travels, we knew that travelling to the capital would cause many possible Hazards with the busy crowds and atmosphere that would be present in addition to the form of travel on the tube in the peak times (so that way we could get the ideal atmosphere we needed to make our footage evident of the London scenery). So with this in mind we all stuck together when travelling and had a map to navigate around near the Liverpool street location. Which came with the fine detailed planning of making sure that all the locations we wanted were in scale with one another. To prevent as much travelling as possible therefore preventing as much risk. The small details such as crossing the congested roads could have been seen as a very dangerous risk to all of us in the group, with this in consideration. Blind Feline realised that we would have to cross the ever increasing congestion in the city by using the various crossings and moving with a large flow of people. Also when filming the footage outside the University, which is in a very congested part of the city. We also had to take into account the consideration the welfare of the surrounding people to make sure that they were aware of our presence with various signs signifying that filming was in progress, therefore making sure that we wasn’t interrupted or was thought to be doing something wrong with the authorities that they may well think could we were putting the general public at risk.

This was an example of a various sign that we used into our production to make people aware of our presence when filming in public stricken areas
