Preliminary Task BFP
To show our understanding and give a rough idea of how to create a film opening we completed the preliminary task. This was a basic piece of film to get us started using a camera and to learn the rules of filming for example the 180 degree rule. We also researched and tried to execute lots of different types of shot for example shot reverse shot, canted angle, low angle, long shot, establishing wide shot, high angle and match on action in order to give us some ideas for our primary task and to learn from our mistakes. Once we captured our footage we came to the hard task of editing. This was a completely alien piece of software to all of the Blind Feline team, meaning lots of frustrating moments and hours spent playing and experimenting with the different transitions, video effects and the general software. After editing the video came the music this presented many more problems however with some hard work we managed to find something suitable and employ it in our film.

Excellent preparation for your main task. You experiment with various shot types and angles and meet the required elements. You have several attempts at the match on action, the final one through the double doors from above is the most successful.
ReplyDeleteTarget: match on action should be seamless and not suggest delayed or repeated time, get the different shots to match in real time with no pause.
